Yes — all Caldera® hot tubs manufactured during or after 2025 are saltwater compatible across the Utopia®, Paradise®, and Vacanza® series. However, only the Utopia® series comes with the FreshWater® Salt System pre-installed and ready to use at purchase.
The FreshWater® Salt System is Caldera’s proprietary salt-chlorine generator, designed to keep water softer, cleaner, and more comfortable while reducing the need for harsh chemicals. It automatically generates chlorine from salt, helping to maintain clear water for up to a full year with minimal maintenance and fewer drain/refill cycles. This means less work, lower chemical use, and more time enjoying your spa.

Yes — if your Caldera® spa was manufactured during or after 2025, all models in the Paradise® and Vacanza® series are saltwater compatible and can have the FreshWater® Salt System installed at any time.
If your spa was manufactured before 2025, the Paradise® series is still compatible with the FreshWater® Salt System, but the Vacanza® series is not.
The FreshWater® Salt System is Caldera’s proprietary salt-chlorine generator, which transforms salt into chlorine to keep water soft, clean, and crystal clear with less effort and fewer chemicals. Installing it on a compatible model is straightforward, giving you the benefits of extended water life, reduced maintenance, and a more comfortable soaking experience whenever you’re ready.
