Pool Openings from a local Yakima team
A pool opening gets your pool from winter mode back to swim-ready. Our team safely removes your winter cover, pulls the winter plugs, primes and checks the filtration system, sets up automation and cleaners, reinstalls ladders and accessories and adds a chemical start-up kit to help clear out contaminants.
Before we leave, we walk the pool area to make sure everything is safe and operational. Our technicians are happy to answer questions on-site, and if we find a problem during the components check, we tell you and offer a solution.
Extra work like vacuuming or a green-to-clean is not part of a standard opening, and because of the large volume of service calls we receive, we may schedule those services for a later visit.

How much does it cost to open a pool in Yakima?
Pool openings are quoted for your pool. Add-ons like vacuuming and heavy debris removal are $95.00 per hour, and green-to-clean or cover cleaning is priced separately.
What's included in a pool opening?
Cover removal, winter plugs out, filtration primed and checked, automation and cleaners set up, ladders installed, a chemical start-up kit and a safety walk-through.
Is vacuuming included in a pool opening?
No. Vacuuming is an add-on at $95.00 per hour. Because of the large volume of spring service calls, we may do it on a later visit.
My pool is green after winter. Can you fix it?
Yes. We offer a pool green-to-clean service. It's not part of a standard opening, so it's priced separately and may need a return visit.
Will you clean my winter cover when you take it off?
We can. Pressure washing and cleaning of pool covers, cleaning of water bags and cleaning of the cover vault box are add-on services priced separately.
What happens if you find a problem during the opening?
We tell you and offer a solution. Our technicians check the components as they start up the system, and our office team works on a fast turnaround for the fix.
How soon can you open my pool?
Most appointments are available within 3 to 5 business days. Spring is busy, so the earlier you request your opening, the better.
Should I start a care plan after the opening?
Many owners do. Splash & Dash, Vac & Dash and Signature Care keep the water clear through the season, weekly or every other week.
