Yakima and Upper Valley, Washington
Pool care, seasonal service, repairs and new pool projects in Yakima, from our Yakima-based team.
Your Yakima pool team
Yakima is our home base. Central Washington Pool & Spa is a local, family owned team here, licensed and insured, with 30+ years of combined pool and spa experience. We look after Yakima pools week to week, open and close them with the seasons, repair equipment, resurface fiberglass and build new pools, and we care for hot tubs too.
Our install gallery includes two Caldera spas set in Yakima backyards: a Cantabria and a Seychelles. If you are weighing a new hot tub, Ebony can walk you through the Utopia, Paradise and Vacanza collections in a personal consultation.

About Yakima
HistoryLink notes that large-scale irrigation projects, first private and later federal, made the Yakima Valley's apples, hops and other crops possible. The valley leads the country in apples, hops and mint. The same dry, sunny summers that suit the orchards make a backyard pool worth having, and they make steady water care important.
Good to know
From the city's own pages, linked in the sources below. Check the current instructions before you start.
The City of Yakima has placed markers beside downtown storm drains as a reminder that only rain should go into them, because stormwater flows untreated to streams, rivers and groundwater. Before you drain a pool or hot tub, ask us how to handle the water, and check the city's current guidance for your property.

A little local history
Yakima City, a village at the mouth of Ahtanum Creek, became the county seat.
The Northern Pacific founded North Yakima four miles north as its main station, and the railroad paid for Yakima City businesses to move there.
North Yakima was incorporated, and the county seat moved with it.
On January 1, the city dropped the "North" and became Yakima.
