Pool Closings from a local Yakima team
Central Washington winters freeze, and water left in pumps, filters, heaters and plumbing lines can expand and crack them. A proper pool closing protects that equipment and keeps the pool in good shape until spring.
Our standard winterization covers all pool equipment, plugs your skimmer and main drain, adds antifreeze to every skimmer line, treats the water with a winter water care kit and installs your pool cover. Before we finish, our team does a final inspection to make sure every part of the winterization is done correctly.
Please have your winter cover, winter plugs and usable water bags on-site for your closing. If they're missing, our technicians will source what's needed from our warehouse or service trucks so your pool still gets closed, and those materials are billed at additional rates.

Service questions
Pool Closings questions, answered.
How much does it cost to close a pool in Yakima?
Pool closings are quoted for your pool. Vacuuming starts at $95.00 per hour, and any chemicals needed for balancing are billed based on an on-site water test.
What's included in a pool closing?
Equipment winterization, skimmer and main drain plugged, antifreeze in every skimmer line, a winter water care kit, cover installation and a final inspection.
Do I need to lower the water level before you come?
Lowering the water level is the homeowner's job if you want it done. It's not part of our standard closing, so take care of it before your appointment.
What do I need to have ready for my pool closing?
A winter cover, winter plugs and usable water bags. If they're not on-site, we'll source them from our warehouse or trucks and bill them at additional rates.
Will you vacuum the pool before closing it?
We're happy to if the water has 100% clarity. Vacuuming isn't in the standard closing price and starts at $95.00 per hour.
Why does a pool need to be winterized in Central Washington?
Freezing water expands. If water sits in pumps, filters, heaters or plumbing lines over winter, it can crack them. Winterizing clears and protects that equipment.
Do you close pools with slides or waterfalls?
Yes, but slides, water features, waterfalls and other custom requests are not part of the standard closing and are charged extra. Mention them when you book.
